News from Health PEI

Council was thrilled to get the following news from Health PEI:

Health PEI is committed to ensuring Islanders have access to primary care.  To ensure we keep out communities updates on the statues of primary care services in the area, we are reaching out to advise on the status of the primary care physician coverage at the Central Queens Health Centre.

Dr. Paul Jewers will not be returning to the Central Queens Health Center; however, all of his patients will remain as part of the Central Queens Health Center for their Care.  We are pleased to advise Health PEI has been successful in recruiting a new family physician , Dr. Kaylee Murphy,  to take over Dr. Jewers' practice as of April .  In the meantime , locum physicians continue to be recruited.

Please feel free to share this update with your community.

Thank you,

Dr. Andre Celliers

Executive Director, Medical Affairs
